In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is an advanced form of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) used to help couples achieve pregnancy.
During IVF treatment, eggs are collected from the ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. The resulting embryos are cultured and, when appropriate, transferred into the uterus. Suitable embryos may also be frozen for future use.
Depending on the individual's fertility condition, treatment may involve conventional IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, genetic testing when indicated, or frozen embryo transfer.
